Dear friends and colleagues!
Let us start introducing you to the programme of the festival Diaghilev. P.S. 2017. The festival will be held on the last week of November, dates of the performances will be announced later. Venues of the performances are festival’s regular partners: Grand Hall of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonia, Alexandrinsky theatre, Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama theatre.

Every year, the State Hermitage Museum hosts the Gala Banquet in the Winter Palace. This magnificent celebration, worthy of the Russian Tsars, attracts patrons of the arts and friends of the Hermitage from all over the world.
The Banquet this year will highlight two main exhibitions of the year:
– “Nefertari and the Valley of the Queens” with ancient Egyptian treasures from the Collection of Museo Egizio, Turin
and
– “Anselm Kiefer to Velimir Khlebnikov” featuring one of the most famous artists of today

This year the Festival “Diaghilev. P.S.” continues the cycle of scientific conferences “In Diaghilev’s circle”. After bringing to light the issue of philanthropy and patronage of Ballets Russes in 2015, this time we suggest our members to examine methods and tools used skillfully by Sergei Diaghilev striving for success and global recognition of the Ballets Russes.
